In the midst of all the challenges that the world is currently presenting us with, it is important for us to give hope. To be there for each other. We are not just a company, but a community.
Using the Tip Me donation tool in our online store, our customers have the opportunity to support our employees in Brazil with tips. A total of 500 euros was collected here. We would like to say "THANK YOU" to each and every one of you! Amazonas then doubled this tip and paid out 1000 euros.
These funds were not simply transferred, but handed over personally by Managing Director Matthias Saul. The money was handed over in December of this year in Brazil, at the Amazonas hammock factory. Matthias visited all the Brazilian employees there to hand over the money in person. The beaming faces reflected not only gratitude, but also the deep bond that exists within the Amazonas family.
Thanks to our customers, this campaign is a really great thing. It's about so much more. The tip is a sign of the power of the community rising up to support each other in difficult times. Matthias emphasized the importance of being there for each other in these uncertain times and going through ups and downs together.
It is about humanity, cohesion and the awareness that we are all part of a greater whole. This gesture of solidarity will not only touch those who have received it, but inspire us all to do more for our fellow human beings.
